Route: Three Notch trail from Mechanicsville Elementary south to John Baggett Park; retrace and continue north to trail end at Deborah Rd; retrace back to start
Weather: overcast and slightly muggy, temps ranging from upper 60s to low 70s; air movement out of the SSW at approx 4-5 mph
AMS: probably just about 11 mph for most of us
Mechanicals/Mishaps: none
Report: The Three Notch Trail ride was offered for the May Metric as an alternative for those riders who prefer not to have to share their cycling route with vehicular traffic and/or desired a shorter distance. Everyone seemed to have gotten their monies worth, and for at least half of our group, this was their first time riding the 3NT in its entirety. A good number of other trail users, mostly closer to Baggett Park. Very little to report in the way of wildlife sightings, other than a few rabbits, one snake, and probably a domesticated black cat.
The Club's trail ride offerings continue to be a good way for newer riders or those returning to bicycling to get some miles ridden in a stress-free environment.
