Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39478169 listed at 27.2 mi, 735 elevation gain, a couple of short spurs added another mile. Highlights included Mason Neck State Park, Hallowing Point Estates, Gunston Estates, and a quick swing through George Mason's Gunston Hall.
Weather: partly to mostly sunny with temps rising from the low to upper 70s and a modest breeze out of the SW. A bit of humidity was creeping in as evidenced in the river views of Belmont Bay and up river from Gunston Estates
Mount Vernon is barely visible in this picture it one knows where to look(!).
AMS: leisurely 12 mph
Mechanicals/Mishaps: ride leader forgot his taillight. Fortunately, very little traffic for the short periods spent on Gunston Road.
Report: always a pleasant ride utilizing the Mason Neck bike trail and some of the back roads on the neck.
