Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31317564 - A lovely tour of the Nanjemoy area, including the Baptist Church and Poseytown, UP Greenleek, Mallows Bay, Riverside and Smith Point. Then on to Maryland Point, Rt 6 and Hancock Run. Stop at the Nanjemoy store and return via Jacksontown, 6, Gilroy and Bowie, retrace Baptist Church and MD 425.
Report:
At the start, Steve discovered that replacement electronics and battery for his e-bike were not working. He removed the battery, started with the group but found the now non-e-bike inappropriate for the terrain and turned back.
At Mallows Bay most of the group took an extended break, Duane and Kim said they would ride on together. For the remainder of the ride, the rest of the group spread out, then regrouped a few times, enjoying nice social conversation while riding on the sparsely traveled and well-shaded roads. And the weather report: simply - a totally beautiful day with comfortable temperatures.
