Report:  Our silent partner on this ride was the HEAT.  It was a hot one.  But that did not deter our small but enthusiastic group of 3 as we set out to ride 40 miles for the promise of cold watermelon.  The three of us stayed together for the most part in the initial half.  In the second half one rider went ahead and finished sooner than the others.  We were thrilled to have snacks and watermelon at the end of the ride!
