Report: Great evening for a bike ride. As we ride from week to week you can tell that the amount of daylight is getting shorter and shorter. For the first few miles everyone rode together. Then the B riders went ahead and rode to the river and took pictures of the CC riders as they made it to the rest stop - sometimes it pays to be second. Then we asked someone to take a group picture of us down by the river.
As we rode down Marshall Hall Road we encountered a foul smelling animal. And if you looked the trees were filled with vultures - too many to count. (This would not be a good place for a mechanical problem with your bike. LOL).
We spent a few minutes at the rest stop and then headed back to the Firehouse as the amount of daylight is getting shorter and shorter as the weeks go by.
We learned that the Indian Head 100/Southern Maryland Century is full with 1,000 riders and has a wait list to get in.
Have a great Labor Day weekend!
