Riley's Lock is on the C&O Canal at Seneca Landing. Riding in west Montgomery County is lovely so join me for this somewhat hilly and scenic ride (because all the riding in the MoCo Ag Reserve is both scenic and somewhat hilly).  This is the classic Montivideo to Sugarland, White Ground, Schaeffer, Old Bucklodge, Whites Store, Peachtree and Cattail to Poolesville route with a rest stop at the K2 cafe. 33 miles, 1813' elevation gain.

Directions to Ride Start: Use the address listed: Seneca Boat Landing, 13015 Rileys Lock Rd, Poolesville, MD 20837.  Park at the boat landing lot that is about 50 yards BEFORE the end of Riley's Lock road, if the portolets are present.  If not, go all the way to the end of the road.

Take the Beltway 495 to River Road exit 39 and go towards Potomac. Go 11 miles to a stop sign at a T. Take a left to remain on River Rd . Go about 3/4 mile and take a left on Riley's Lock Road. Park in the first parking lot you see on the left, across from the boat landing. (The above address is for a river business that's a little farther along toward the river, but the boat landing does not have an address.)
