Volunteer

The club depends on volunteers. Volunteers are needed to lead rides, staff events and help at club activities. Here is a list of events that need volunteers.

    Thank you for visiting the Volunteer page! We need volunteers to make this event a success. For rest stop volunteers, after their stop closes, we hope you will come to the Pavilion for the full picnic. There is no registration fee for volunteers but we do need you to complete the form. 

    The ride starts at the Patuxent River Park Pavilion and Camp Ground and riders follow routes on scenic back roads with rest stops at Magruders Ferry, Eagle Harbor and Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary.  Some volunteers come to the Pavilion while rest stop volunteers go directly to their assigned rest stop. Exact directions for all locations will be sent to each volunteer before the event. (The Pavilion itself is 16000 Croom Airport Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772.)

    Volunteers are needed for following jobs and we'll try to honor your request (one of the choices is to let us choose for you): 

    Parking - 6:15 am to 9 am

    Check-in riders - 6:15 am to 9 am 

    Rest Stops - times vary

    Magruders Ferry - 7:00 - 11:00 am

    Eagle Harbor - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

    Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary - 7:00 am - 1:30 pm

    Picnic - set up starts at 9:30 - 10:00 am

    Clean-up - 2:00 to 4:00 pm

    SAG - 7:00  am to approximately 3:30 pm
