We'll visit the Mount Carmel Monastery by way of the IHRT, Pomfret, Rose Hill and Chapel Point.   After a quick rest stop at the Port Tobacco River Park, we'll climb Locust Grove, cross 301 and take Springhill Newtown to MD-6, then swing back on La Plata, Radio Station and Rosewick, crossing 301 onto Mitchell to Mount Carmel.  After the break we'll take Mitchell south to Hawthorne, then Bumpy Oak to the IHRT and back to the start.  34 mi, 1077' elevation gain.

Directions to Ride Start:  From Beltway Exit 3-A take Md 210 (Indian Head Highway) south for 14 miles to town of Bryans Road. Turn left onto Livingston Road/MD-227, after 1.8 miles bear right to stay on Livingston Road/MD-224 for 2.0 miles to the trail parking area on the right.
