We'll take the usual route to St Ignatius Church for a rest stop, then cross 301 onto Bel Alton Newtown, taking it to Springhill Newtown and Glen Albin to a second stop at the Dash-In in La Plata.  We'll cross back over 301 at Hawthorne, then take Quailwood to Rt 6, Burch to Poorhouse and Ripley to Hawthorne back to the start.  39.5 mi, 1558' elevation gain.  Note the 9 am start: with the schools closed (and the summer heat arriving on schedule) we're on summer hours.

Directions to Ride Start: From Beltway Exit 3-A take Md 210 (Indian Head Highway) south for 14 miles to town of Bryans Road. Turn left onto Livingston Road/MD-227, after 1.8 miles bear right to stay on Livingston Road/MD-224 for 2.0 miles to the trail parking area on the right.   [map to ride start]
