DATE CHANGE - due to an event at Jefferson Patterson Park on Saturday we have changed this ride to Sunday.
Join us for a variation of the ride that local riders call the "Barn Quilt Ride". This will be the first time since the pandemic that the club has done a ride in southern Calvert County. We'll leave from Hallowing Point Park (bathrooms and water), cross Hwy 231, and use Sixes and Grays roads to get to Broomes Island Road, which will take us to the village of the same name. We'll then retrace our route north and make a stop at Mom and Pops Country Store for snacks/drinks to take with us to our lunch stop at Jefferson Patterson Park seven miles later. From Jefferson Patterson we'll work our way back north and east, carefully crossing Hwy 4 and rolling north through the little town of St. Leonard. We'll then cross back to the west side of Hwy 4 and work our way back to our starting point.
NOTE: grades on this ride are less than 5% EXCEPT at mile 40 where there is a short hill in the 8 to 10% range.
