Per Tim Drummond, Charles County Parks & Rec department head, IHRT still has snow coverage in many sections.  It has been used by cross country skiers.  Parks staff does not plow or treat the trail - they only have heavy duty equipment and don't want to risk damage to the trail surface by plowing or adversely affecting surrounding areas with chemical/salt treatments.

Come on out to ride one of the premier trails in the entire DC metro area.  Ride at your own pace, go as far as you desire, and just have a good time!   Convenient portolets along the trail.   **White Plains indoor facilities closed for the season**

Directions to Ride Start: From Beltway Exit 3-A take Md 210 (Indian Head Highway) south for 14 miles to town of Bryans Road. Turn left onto Livingston Road/MD-227, after 1.8 miles bear right to stay on Livingston Road/MD-224 for 2.0 miles to the trail parking area on the right.   [map to ride start]
