After a serious crash, recovery can be hard, physically and emotionally. The flurry of medical appointments can be wearing and the healing process long. Being off the bike and away from cycling friends can feel like a loss. Returning to riding depends on full physical healing. Even with an “all clear” from your doctor or physical therapist, emotional barriers and "the mental piece" may need tending before throwing a leg over the saddle.
