The C/CC group joined the B ride and had some fun in the warm weather. What A great Day to ride. Thanks for riding with Calvin and JulieAnn. Those who came out know what happened, we all were pushed to our limits.
I started off on this ride happy and enjoying the ride 1/3 or the way in I was hurting. Could not catch my breath. My body hurt. I have no clue how I made it to the rest stop. Bill pushed me.Still telling me I was doing great. I knew better. Calvin went back to find Tasha.. At the rest stop Walter gave me a pep talk and let me know I was not the only one having breathing problems.. I pushed on and on.. Could not breath and my body hurt. This I Just could not understand, I did a century just 1 month ago why would 36 miles be be a problem? I for the first time could not finish... I quit my own ride. Kenny came and picked me up just before the hill on B.O Road. I quit, I was defeated. What Happened... Well in true C/CC style I was told, people just have bad bike days. I was told I worked hard these last few months and I should be proud of my successes. This still did not help.. I quit a ride. I was worried I peaked and it was all down hill from here. But with the help of my C/CC group and Brod I got back on the bike Monday And Did the hill on B.O. and 27.6 miles after that. It was true. Sometimes you can just have a bad day...We all should remember that. Thanks for everyone being so great and supportive.
