Pedaling to Pisgah, December 23rd, 9:30am

Sun, December 23, 2012 9:30 AM | Diane Harris (Administrator)
I cancelled this ride because of not feeling well (chills and temp to 102.5 - hope I'm not jinxing myself but I rarely get sick) but saw that Blake was willing to lead if anyone else still wanted to ride.  Blake, hopefully you were able to act as leader for the 4 people that still showed up.  And to those 4, I apologize for not being there.

I saw that Diane had cancelled about 8:45. By the time I had sent out notice that I would take over and fought with my printer, I was about five-ten minutes late to the start. No matter, members Ken Meredith, John Clark, Jack Gardner, and Keith Blackman were there and willing to wait. We were also joined by guest Adrienna McCray (I hope I got the name right from the sign-in sheet).
It was a cold start with temperatures in the mid to upper 30’s. There was a slight wind but certainly nothing like the wind from the day before!
The group occasionally broke-up on hills but the faster riders slowed down at the top of the hills to allow the slower riders to catch up. Other than this we all rode together though-out the ride. There were no issues to report on the ride and by the time we got back it was actually starting to feel warm. The ride leader had a solid A ride average of 17.0 MPH.
Thanks Diane for posting this ride. We hope you are feeling better!
