Memorial Day Weekend rides to Chesapeake Beach are an area tradition. This isn't one of the traditional Harwood 50-65 mile routes, but features many of the favorite roads in the area as well as a few unusual and seldom-seen ones.
We'll take the MD4 Service Road and Upper and Lower Pindell to Greenock and Brooks Woods, climbing from the shores of the Chesapeake Bay up to Fairhaven and a lunch stop at the Chesapeake Market and Deli. Leaving the Market we'll go through North Beach to Chesapeake Beach and up the delightful Chesapeake Beach Rail Trail to Boyds Turn with a stop at the Dash In on Old Solomons Island, then take Sansbury, Wilson and McKendree, to West Bay Front and Southern Maryland Blvd back to Waysons.
44 miles with 1923' of climbing, 7.2% max grade.
