With summer temperatures and sunny skies expected, what better than a ride to the beach?  North Beach and Chesapeake Beach, that is, with a stop at Deale and a tour of Owings Beach on the way.  There will be scenic rolling roads on the way, along with a couple of notable climbs such as Franklin Gibson (the way we almost never go) and Fairhaven, a rest stop at the Chesapeake Market and a trip up the Chesapeake Railway Trail on the way home.  51 miles, 2000' elevation gain.

Directions to start:  From I-95 Exit 11-A take Pennsylvania Avenue (Md 4) 10 miles past Upper Marlboro to Waysons Corner, exit Md 408. Left at the end of exit ramp to Waysons Corner. Bear right at the light and proceed to the park and ride on the right.
