What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with a bike ride, then get back home in time for festivities in the afternoon and evening.
We'll take Pisgah Marbury and Mason Springs to Pisgah, then head back on Bicknell to Sweetman and a rest stop at Smallwood Park. Leaving the park we'll take Smallwood Church to Ironsides and down Durham Church, then take Rt 6 to Mill Swamp, Blossom Point and Brentland to our main stop at Goose Bay. After the break we'll backtrack on Mill Swamp to Fire Tower, Annapolis Woods and Poorhouse tbefore taking Mason Springs back to Chicamuxen and Hawthorne. 39 mi, 1620' elevation gain.

Directions to Ride Start: From Beltway Exit 3-A take Md 210 (Indian Head Highway) south for 14 miles to town of Bryans Road. Turn left onto Livingston Road/MD-227, after 1.8 miles bear right to stay on Livingston Road/MD-224 for 2.0 miles to the trail parking area on the right. [map to ride start]
