A Pilgrimage to Mount Carmel.  We'll take the IHRT to Pomfret and go up to Marshall Corner, down Rose Hill to Port Tobacco, take a quick bio break at Port Tobacco River Park, then climb Locust Grove and head to La Plata.  St Marys to Glen Albin down to Springhill Newtown, then 6 to Radio Station, Rosewick, across 301 to Mitchell and a rest stop at the Mount Carmel Monastery.  After the break we'll take Mitchell to Hawthorne to Bumpy Oak down to the IHRT.  36 mi, 1155' elevation gain.

Directions to Ride Start: From Beltway Exit 3-A take Md 210 (Indian Head Highway) south for 14 miles to town of Bryans Road. Turn left onto Livingston Road/MD-227, after 1.8 miles bear right to stay on Livingston Road/MD-224 for 2.0 miles to the trail parking area on the right.   [map to ride start]
