AMS: all over the map. Loretta and I finished with 13.6, some were behind me, and the fast folks had 15.6.
Another summer day, fighting wind and dehydration. If this were July, we would have thought it a mild day. As we are less than a week from low 40s at ride start, it felt hot. Hot, hot hot. And then even hotter. This version of a "let's go
down Thrift Road" route was designed to celebrate the repaving of Accokeek Road, and indeed the result of the road work was delightful: smooth pavement, still free of potholes, with wider shoulders in many places. The contrast with Cedarville Road is dramatic. I wonder when they'll improve that.
