Wicomico River
Leader: Steve Palincsar
Members: Walt Roscello
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40787728 (but by the time you read this, it'll be gone)
Weather: Partly cloudy, mid-70s rising to the mid-80s by early afternoon
Mishaps & Mechanicals: None
AMS: 13.0
Report: Nobody had registered for the ride by the time I left home at 8 so I figured I was riding alone, no point waiting at Oak Ridge Park. I'd arrived early, so I left early. Spent the first 15 miles regretting the choice of route to get to Wicomico Shores (coming on Dixie Lyon and Thompson Corner would have been much better - more scenic and less traffic) and thinking that perhaps I need a Plan B for rides no one registers for, like maybe an exploration of roads I've never been on before, maybe on some of the many dead-end roads that go down to the water.
The rest stop at Wicomico Shores Landing was fine - some nice scenic views of the Wicomico River and a pretty spectacular sky - and it looked nice en route to Old Chaptico Wharf, too.

As I finished taking this photograph, Walt Roscello rode up. He registered this morning after I left home, started at 9:30 riding by himself, decided not to go down Aviation Yacht Club Rd (and so got ahead of me) and was coming back from having visited Old Chaptico Wharf.
We chatted, he said he was going to take a side trip down Mill Point just to see what was there, then follow the route and maybe we'd catch up at the Chaptico Store. Which we did, and rode together the rest of the way back.
