Kent Island welcomed us, with sun, some pretty good wind, and a short sprinkling.
RIDERS were: Pam Alexander, Ron Altemus, Susan Altemus, Karen Dickey (A Kent Islander!) Jessica Hirschhorn, MaryClare Muzyka, Phong Nguyen, Barbara Raimondo, Sara Rhoades, Brenda Ruby, Anthony Schreiber (training for Ragbrai), Tracy Threefoot, Doug van Zoeren, and Cecil Rhoades.
We had a great mix today, including 6 non members (4 from the Kaiser Retired Physicians group) who loved the ride and planned to become members.
We did the usual Octopus Ride (8 out 'n backs) with great views of the Bridge, Chesapeake, Osprey nest, golf course, crabbing marina and lighthouse, fishing pier, and Silver Swan wedding venue beach.
The WIND got us on the way south to the lighthouse, but PUSHED us back up afterwards.
No mechanicals, no one lost, no one hurt. A GOOD DAY enjoyed by all.
