Thu, December 05, 2013 10:30 AM | Deleted user
Ride Leader: Jim Hudnall

Riders: Alan Kurzweil, Larry Peed, Bob Daalstrom, Ron and Jan Tucker, Karen Fitzgereald, Darin King, Teresa Martin, Janell Saunders, Lou Dall'Orso, Linda Bankerd, and Mike and Regina Saizan

Route: Brandywine 36 Jug Bay and Nottingham 36 miles, 1984 feet of climbing

Mechanicals: Karen's flat tire on Duvall Road, changed with help from Darin and Mike. Linda was having a shifting problem and several riders helped her with the problem at the end of the ride.

Weather: The ride started with riders chilly on a humid, overcast humid morning with temperature in the upper 50's. By noon, the sun had come out, the temperature had climbed toward 70, and jackets had come off, with some riders now in shorts and short sleeves. By the end of the ride, the front had started moving in with clouds and strong breezes.

It was nice to get in a good ride before the rain of today and the winter weather of this weekend. Darin, Karen and Teresa got in about seven extra miles between the Nottingham Store stop and the finish. Lou got extra miles by riding to the ride start from home.
