A small group came out for a short tour around St. Mary's County. The promise of cloudy skies at the start was kept, but the promise of lighter winds was broken. The route started at Chopticon High School and found its way down to St. Clement's Island Museum. Traffic was generally light as we enjoyed some fine county roads (Maddox, Colton Point, Hatchet Thicket, Oakley, Bayside, Maypole, etc.). We regulated the pace to match the participants, finishing a good deal faster than we expected. About half way through, the sun made a glorious appearance and warmed us for the rest of the ride/day.
