Elevation Profile Image:  http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5440782/elevation_profile

Guest Riders:  None

Member Riders:  Kirsten Watts; Sherwood Byers; Denise Edwards; Darryl Lowery; Henry Stancil; Majesta Hartley; Phil Mitchell; Terry Hilmer; Diane Harris; Randy Schoch; James Denmark; and Brian Mosley.

Weather:  Warm, muggy, and hazy.  Temps in the low-80s at start and finish.

Mishaps and Mechanicals:  None noted.

Report: A sticky September evening - good for keeping the riding legs loose.  For whatever reason, I always ride better when it is warm and muggy - and I hate warm and muggy weather!

Darryl, Majesta, James and Brian (leaving from James' house), and Shane and Kirsten all rode to the ride from home, and rode back home at the end of the ride.  Majesta opted out of riding to the river and turned for home on Barry's Hill Road.

Randy started early, and he also took the turn on to Barry's Hill Road - skipping the river rest stop.  Randy noted it would be his last Wednesday evening ride for the season, as he starts teaching on Wednesday nights next week.  Thanks for coming out Randy!

Brian noted it would also be his last Wednesday Tour ride for the season (and for Brian's sake - Go Cowboys!  And sorry to tell you Brian, as a Syracuse alum, there is no way I can root for the Tarheels!)

Sherwood joined the ride leader for a second ascent of Barry's Hill, and added extra miles by riding down the hill after the first ascent, and then all the way back to the intersection with Marshall Hall Road.

Everyone put in a strong ride.  Kirsten marked another personal best:  15.5 ams for the ride; and a 17.0 ams to the river rest stop!  Kudos!

Another great ride by all.  Hope to see most of you again next week.
