Only one official rider in my group: Ellen Goodwin. However, we conglomerated with the large group of B's & CC's following Ken Meredith on a detour around Suratts Rd due to an accident-caused road closure. Up to the first rest stop at Merkle, some CC's were actually leading the group........one rider asked "how did that happen"????
We picked up a B rider at the Reindeer Grill, who had become separated from his group. He rode with us for a while and, then met up with another B rider and took off. We met up with Steve and Loretta as we stopped at the community center (very friendly staff), rode with them for a while. Waved at a group at the picnic tables at North Keys. And somehow we arrived back at Cosca ahead of the A 58 group -- ???
Cloudy, intermittent sun, warm, generally low traffic, no problems - and we did end with 61.6 miles. A fun and satisfying ride.
