Ride leader: Steve Palincsar
Members: Joan Oppel, Don Gardner
Weather: Sunny, windy, mid-30s at the start (but felt much colder, due to the wind and the exposed, windswept location at North Keys Park) rusing to the low 40s by early afternoon.
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26633444 One of the few times we've routed through Marlton entering at Wallace Lane and headed up to the McDonalds for a rest stop, and even rarer, crossed 301 and traversed through the (unfortunately rather boring) neighborhood west of US-301. Joan was under a time constraint so we skipped the rest stop at Merkle and went right on Nottingham, left on Croom, rejoining the route at Candy Hill and Croom.
Mishaps & mechanicals: none
AMS: 11-something
Two big news discoveries: first, the northbound lane on Cross Rd Trail by the construction for the new development has been completely repaved. Repaved, not patched doing the minimum work necessary to fill the enormous potholes, as was the case the last time; this time they've actually repaved the entire lane -- but only the northbound lane. The southbound lane hasn't been touched at all, as far as we could see.
Second, turning left from Nottingham onto Croom we discovered that the Nottingham Store is open again, with what appears to be fresh new signs in front of the building.
