Oh, what a beautiful postcard cycling day it was, with bright blue skys, no wind and starting temps near 60, for us early risers at the
8am start. Rider Leader John Gorman was joined by members: Sunil Bhimahl, Eric Peterson, Lou Dallorso, and guest Fred (Crofton BikeDR) Warwick. The route takes you thru the Anne Arundel Co rural rolling farm roads south west before heading directly into the glistering waters of the Chesapeake Bay into Chesapeake and N. Beach(es) in Calvert Co, for a rest at the pier. John's original route was going to miss some hills back thru Franklin Gibson, but Fred suggested we use the more scripted cue roads for the return which we (no walking by John again, must be improving..lol) we did. We took Nutwell Sudley all the way back to RT 2 Solomons and back to the SHS lot. We stayed as a foursome all day, and rode at the same matching pace (which ended up higher than posted), of 15.25, time of 2:49, for a total of 43miles. We all agreed the route, and the fellowship was excellent and traded emails to do future rides together, especially being all early risers types. No mechanical issues were encountered.
